Perle V.92 PCI-RAS multi-modem cards deliver multiple voice, fax and 56 Kbps data modem ports for either Windows or UNIX/Linux operating systems. PCI-RAS cards also provide simple Internet connection and secure access for connecting remote users to the office network.

Perle PCI-RAS cards are designed to meet small office users’ data, fax and voice communications requirements. Telecommuters, remote sales force and after-hours workers can all connect, cost effectively and securely. Used with fax server software, they can be used to deliver centralized high bandwidth fax transmission or receipt.

The PCI-RAS range is available with 4 or 8 modems per PCI adapter card. Utilizing V.92-56K modem technology, PCI-RAS cards offer high speed Internet access, faxing and voice mail support. Perle’s proven multi-port modem hardware and drivers are combined with the convenience and speed of the PCI bus, to deliver one complete, easy to install solution. With off the shelf remote access software, the PCI-RAS provides a secure and seamless connection enabling remote users to interact online by remote login, by file transfer or by remote network connection. Multiple cards may be installed in a single server, allowing implementation of sizable modem banks.

With Perle’s PCI-RAS cards, there is no need to install, configure, and maintain separate LAN based equipment to support modem based fax or data communications applications. PCI-RAS cards conveniently integrate all the hardware and driver elements for these solutions right in the server. There are no messy cables, and no stacks of external modems or network devices. Standard phone lines are simply connected to the back of the server. The cards install easily using standard operating systems procedures and installation wizards, and have been designed to ensure that they are compatible with a full range of third party communications software.
