This USB-C Multiport Adapter/Docking Station with DisplayPort 1.4 (Alt Mode) and Multi-Stream Transport (MST), features three video output options (HDMI, VGA and USB-C video) to support a single or multi-monitor workstation. The USB-C video port supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) with 10W of power, to connect a USB-C monitor or a USB-C peripheral. In addition, the Docking Station also features a 2-Port USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) Hub, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and providing advanced charging through a USB Power Delivery (PD) 3.0 pass-through port. The Multiport Adapter connects to a laptop's USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4 port, using the integrated 10-inch (25.4cm) USB-C cable.

A host laptop with an available USB-C port (to ensure full adapter functionality, the host USB-C port must support USB Power Delivery 2.0 and DP alt mode).
For a multi-monitor configuration, the computer must support MST.
Optional: USB-C power adapter (e.g., your laptop's USB-C based power adapter).
Note
Not all USB-C ports support the full functionality of the USB Type-C standard. Ensure that your host USB-C port supports USB Power Delivery and DP alt mode.
The adapter can connect to USB-C ports that don't support USB PD. PD will not occur without a connection to a PD capable USB-C port. However, in this configuration if a power adapter is connected to the multifunction adapter, it will not pass power through to your host laptop.
A 4K-capable display is required to achieve 3840 x 2160p resolution (4K is also known as 4K x 2K).
