The USB Keyboard Emulation Mini card reader works with existing software applications developed for keyboard interface. This unit sends its data as if it were a USB keyboard. Read data can be seen in a text applications such as Windows Notepad without requiring additional drivers or application programming. It's powered by the USB bus so no external power supply is required. The hardware is compatible with any computer or terminal with a USB interface. It features three track capability, bi-directional reading and a dual color LED. It reads encoded cards that meet ISO/ANSI/CDL/AAMVA standards and makes up to 1,000,000 passes with ISO-conforming cards.
