It adds strength to the installation by distributing the weight over a larger surface area, and it allows heavier display attachment to steel-stud walls, such as when using Neo-Flex HD Wall Mounts. The Kit features strong, aluminum plate construction, and the hardware is specially-designed for steel-stud walls.
