Designed specifically for rack-mount servers, the QuadraRack Server Frame offers the strength and stability of a cabinet, but in an open mounting system. Providing easy access for simplified installation and cabling, the QuadraRack Server Frame offers unrestricted airflow for improved cooling and heat dissipation. When a rack-mount server is pulled out on the sliding rails to full extension, a torque twisting action is applied onto the frame channels. The unique 14 gauge steel "C"-shaped channels with square holes and horizontal braces were designed to provide optimal torsional strength. The horizontal braces are made quick and easy to install with the supplied carriage bolts. Since rack-mount servers require various types of mounting screws, cage nuts provide the flexibility to adapt holes for M6, 10-32 or 12-24 mounting screws. To facilitate equipment alignment and preplanning of installations, there is a small round hole punched to indicate each RMU. The rear of each channel has a small square hole punched at each RMU for attaching optional cable management. Shelf-supported equipment can also be accommodated using specially designed QuadraRack shelves including the Heavy Duty Fixed Shelf, (Solid and Vented) and the new Heavy Duty Sliding Shelf, designed to support 300 lb.
